Aboussie & Associates is a strategic consulting firm serving Fortune 500 CEO’s, and public and private corporations nationwide. Aboussie is also CEO of TCI, one of Missouri’s largest qualitative and quantitative public opinion research and voter contact firms.

Aboussie currently serves on The Obama Campaign’s National Finance Board. Aboussie served as Congressman Dick Gephardt’s National Political Director for 30 years, and elected democrats at every level, from Governors to Senators to Presidents. Aboussie is also a prolific Democratic fund raiser, raising millions of dollars each election cycle.

Aboussie’s personal priority is St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where she has served on the National Board of Directors since 1983, being the youngest person ever elected to that position. In 2006-2008, she served as Chairperson of the ALSAC/St. Jude Board of Directors and was the first woman to be elected to that national position.

According to Ellen Sherberg, Publisher – St. Louis Business Journal, Mobile Commons, a mobile marketing company that includes St. Louisan Joyce Aboussie as one of its partners, generated 400,000 calls to Congress over the issue of Internet legislation, Software Online Piracy Act  (SOPA). As reported in Forbes  , hit its target and the vote was delayed.

According to Jo Mannies, at the St. Louis Beacon, en route to a speaking engagement in mid-Missouri,  former President Bill Clinton enjoyed lunch Friday with some prominent local Democrats at the Ladue home of Joyce Aboussiea prominent political activist and fundraiser.

Joyce Aboussie was the national political director for Democrat Richard A. Gephardt during his years in Congress. She was a big supporter of the 2008 presidential quest of Hillary Rodham Clinton, the former president’s wife and now the U.S. secretary of state.

Those at the lunch included Maxine Clark and Bob Fox, the founders of Build-A-Bear. Unconfirmed reports say that Gov. Jay Nixon also met with Clinton while he was in the state.

Later that day,  Clinton was in Warrensburg to speak to the graduation class at the University of Central Missouri.

Women Leaders in St. Louis, Mo.

The St. Jude 50th Anniversary Kick-off Gala raised $1.1 million and drew 900 guests to the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch on June 18. The celebration was among the first to note the hospital’s upcoming 50 years of finding cures and saving children in 2012. ALSAC Board member Joyce Aboussie served as chairperson of the event, which honored Michael and Noèmi Neidorff for their support of St. Jude. Michael Neidorff is CEO of Centene Corp. St. Jude National Outreach Director Marlo Thomas and her husband, television personality Phil Donahue, both spoke at the gala and presented each of the Neidorffs with an award.  World renowned singer Tony Bennett was on hand to provide stellar entertainment.  Joyce Aboussie is a lifetime resident of St. Louis, MO.
